Client story: Ernst & Young Photography

Some of the most interesting and compelling images I have seen in a long time...

A little while back, the staff from the Leeds office of Ernst & Young were embarking on a huge move to a new office in the city. Not only was this an enormous logistical feat but it was also going to mean significant changes to how they worked together and how they made this new working space feel like home as quickly as possible.

In collaboration with Shelley Marchant, Senior Marketing Executive at Ernst & Young, we created an opportunity for every member of staff to contribute to Developing EY - a photography project that would result in some of the most interesting and compelling images that I have seen in a long time.

Using 350 black and white disposable cameras and a creative brief from us, the accountants, receptionists, Partners, auditors, administrators and managers of Ernst & Young in Leeds were able to tell stories about what it is like to be them in and out of work.

In partnership with professional photographer, Liza Dracup, Anne McNeill, Director of Impressions Gallery and design agency, Stone Soup, we were then able to select, produce and curate a permanent collection of fifty stunning images that now adorn the walls of the meeting rooms, Board Rooms and public spaces of the new offices.

These images are important - they helped staff to "own" their new working environment, created a sense of collective purpose and continue to show clients and visitors to the office a glimpse of the bigger picture.
